Look for suitable matches on dating sites
Why let work get in the way of looking for love? Believe it or not, a large proportion of workers go online and browse dating websites. They might even take the time to fine-tune their profiles so they can get better matches.
As you can imagine, some people will get rather distracted by the messages they send and receive. Especially if the content is somewhat explicit and sexual in nature!
Catch up on social media
A popular pastime is to go on social media at work and catch up on the latest happenings. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are just some of the online platforms we visit each day.
Some people in marketing roles do little to disguise their activities. That’s because social media is usually part of their work. Not so sneaky, but rather dangerous if your boss is standing behind you!

In case you didn’t know, creepypasta refers to horror stories written by people online. If you’re a horror buff, you’ll probably spend hours reading weird and creepy tales! Sure, they aren’t a substitute for a slasher movie. But, they make for interesting reading if you’re into that sort of thing.
One advantage of perusing creepypasta sites is they are mainly text-based. That means it doesn’t look obvious from afar that you’re not doing any work. Passers-by behind you might assume you’re doing some online research. Yeah, right!
Look for a new job
Let’s face it. If you spend a lot of time surfing the web at work, your job is probably boring. Sure, to some people, getting paid to go on the Internet might sound like fun. But, there comes a point where enough is enough. And when that point gets reached, it’s time to look for a new job.
