Clarion VZ509E 7-Inch Single Din DVD Multimedia Station with Touch Panel Control Review

Integrated media-related technology for automobiles has increased by leaps and bounds in recent years, and Clarion’s VZ509E Multimedia Station is clear evidence of that.  This device has so many features to speak of that it’s difficult to know exactly where to start.

What you basically have here is a fully touchscreen enabled 7’monitor which incorporates a host of features as well as a DVD drive.  In short, this little device can do it all.  This unit has:

  • A 24-bit audio converter
  • A host of sound enhancement features
  • Ability to perform advanced navigation
  • The ability to play virtually any form of audio / music (with the latest identification mechanisms)
  • DivX-certification
  • A motorized full-color LCD display
  • 6 channel audio outs
  • USB connectivity
  • Advanced touch screen navigation and control
  • 2 individual audio video inputs
  • 4 X 50 watt internal amplifier
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • And even a remote steering wheel interface
  • Advanced Radio functionality and preset capability
  • iPod direct control
  • Connectivity for vision cameras
  • Separate volume control for subs (subwoofers)

Simply put, this is one of the most advanced, state-of-the-art in-auto media control mechanisms available.  There’s actually very little that it can’t do it seems.  Individuals who tend to share and grab data from internet sources will find Clarion’s VZ509E to be particularly useful as it allows users to easily and quickly deploy a very wide range of media files to the unit for playback.  With a price tag of nearly 500 pounds (£499.99), the VZ509E might seem to be somewhat foreboding, but you simply cannot find the sort of features and quality offered by this device without ‘paying the piper’as they say.  If you’re an auto enthusiast and / or a tech junkie, this unit is a solid buy and is certain to bring loads of possibilities to the table.
