A number of TomTom sat-nav users have faced a malfunction on their sat-nav device. TomTom has said the malfunction was caused by a ‘leap year bug’, which caused issues with certain TomTom model sat-navs. The error appears to be a worldwide issue, and isn’t country specific. The malfunction resulted in the device showing a grey screen with a GPS signal error. It appears the error began on the 31st March.

TomTom are currently working on a fix. TomTom have recommended that anyone affected should try resetting the device by pressing the on/off button for 20+ seconds; this might offer a temp fix.
